Dr. Tapen Gupta is the Principal of Guru Nanak Institute of Management (GNIM). He is a well-known academician, researcher & administrator having more than 13 years of experience in various capacities in some of the most reputed UG/PG management colleges across the region. His past academic experience relates to teaching at Himalayan Institute of Management (Kala Amb) & S.B.I. Ambala. His industry experience relates to organizations including M.P.P.L (Bahadurgarh), Avon Industries (Gurugram), ICICI Bank and HDFC Bank. He is a visiting faculty with Various leading business schools.

His publications and research interests are in the areas of Capital Market, Banking and Finance. He has authored many famous text books and has innumerable research papers in national and international journals.

According to Dr. Gupta, in this age of globalization, it becomes important for us to impart high quality management education with a view to create a pool of world - class managerial talent and GNIM is determined to achieve this with the help of highly qualified and committed core faculty supplemented by visiting faculty from industry to keep the students abreast of latest developments in management thoughts, techniques and practices.
